Access to personal data is one of the main powers under the Data Protection Act. This can be from an individual wanting to view their own data to others wanting access to someone else's information. This course looks at both scenarios and what should, or in some cases should not , be released. The course will use actual examples for delegates to try.

 The course will cover

  • The legislation which gives the powers of access
  • The rights of the individual
  • How to handle a request
  • What can be removed?
  • Access to personal data by third parties
  • What exemptions are there to the non-disclosure provisions
Other delegates have commented about this course "Good examples very relevant", "Excellent way to learn and understand a fairly complex subject", "Very helpful good advice given", "Able to ask questions without feeling awkward"
