Data Sharing

Can I Really Share This? - A Guide to Data Sharing under the Data Protection Act

There are many myths and assumptions around data sharing. This course aims to look at what can be shared and what cannot. It will also examine protocols and what is needed to be included using practical examples. Our speaker on this course is Alan Stead.

The main areas the course will cover are:-

  • What does the Data Protection Act allow for sharing.
  • What cannot be shared and why.
  • How can we get around these obstacles in sharing?
  • When is it appropriate to introduce protocols?
  • Writing and development of information sharing protocols
  • What can be shared on a one off basis

Other delegates have commented about this course: "Examples given by the speaker made the course more interesting",Good general discussios around protocols and the exceptions".
