There is a perception in some areas of the public that they can access everything held by public authorities. This course will use practical examples to examine the truth behind this and will give special emphasis to:-

- The comparisons with other legislation and also between each of the two Acts

Application of Exemptions and Exceptions under FOI and EIR
A more advanced course for practitioners looking at the application of exemptions and exceptions under FOI and EIR. Presented in an informal way this course will use actual examples and the latest decision notices from the Information Commissioners Office to stimulate discussion into the use of exemptions and the appropriate legislation to be used.
